Economy
Kos has to import many products, of which only 20% come from Greece itself. The rest comes mainly from European Union countries and the United States.
The population of Kos lives predominantly from tourism. The inhabitants of Kos also earn their money in agriculture and construction (hotels and flats). There is no large-scale industry in Kos. Every year tens of thousands of tourists book a holiday trip to Kos. The sandy beaches are very popular.
