Climate and Weather

Hydra has a moderately warm climate with dry summers and fairly wet winters. The average annual temperature on Hydra is around 18 °C and there is approximately 456 mm of precipitation per year. The driest month is August with 3 mm, the wettest month is December with 85 mm of precipitation. The warmest month of the year is August with an average temperature of 26.7 °C, January is the coldest month with an average temperature of 10.1 °C.

Spring April-May

Hydra has only a short spring, when temperatures are between 15 and 25 °C. The weather is still very changeable. The weather is still changeable with a chance of sudden showers. The sea temperature slowly begins to rise.

Summer June-August

Winters on Hydra are generally cold and damp with lots of rain. Occasionally the temperature drops below freezing at night, but sunny, warm days are also common in January. In mountainous areas, the occasional flake of snow may fall, but it never lasts long.
