Population
Skopelos has 4.520 inhabitants. (2024) At the 2031 census, Skopelos town had 2,940, the village of Glossa 826 and Neo Klima (Elios) 431 inhabitants. In summer, the population can reach 20.000 inhabitants due to the influx of tourists.
In the mid 19th century, at the time of the first census, Skopelos town was the largest town in the new Greek state after Athens and Nauplion.
