Population

The population of Paros increased from about 6,500 in 1861 to about 7,800 in 1981. Paros had about 13,700 residents in 2017, of which about 5,000 live permanently in the capital Parikia.

They are joined by many tourists (approx. 200,000) in the summer period and Albanian immigrants and their families in the winter.
