Climate and Weather
Skiathos has a Mediterranean climate that is characterised by warm dry summer months and cooler wet winter months. Due to its northern location, Skiathos is often not as hot as the more southerly located Sporades Islands. The higher parts of Skiathos are generally cooler than the lower ones. On the beaches, the almost constant presence of the cooling sea breeze makes it pleasant to stay even during the hottest hours of the day.
