Climate and Weather

Monaco's Mediterranean climate ensures warm summers and mild winters, in which the temperature almost never drops below 8°C. Due to its sheltered location, Monaco is not affected by the cold Mistral, a north-westerly wind that often blows over the southeast of France.

The average temperature for the whole year is 16.3°C. The coldest month of the year is January, with average temperatures between 8 and 12 °C. July is the warmest month with average temperatures between 22 and 26°C.

With just over 700 mm of precipitation per year, Monaco is a fairly dry place in France and has very many sunny days, around 300 per year.

The driest months are July and August with only two rainy days on average. The wettest months are October, November and December.
