Climate and Weather

Luxembourg generally has a temperate maritime climate. Due to the moderating influence of the sea, Luxembourg's climate has few peaks and troughs. The climate of the Ösling region resembles that of the Ardennes, with cool winters and mild summers. The climate in the centre and the south is slightly warmer. The average annual temperature varies between around 7°C in the Ösling and 9°C in Gutland. The average annual rainfall is 740 mm. The north receives the most precipitation, the south the least. July and August are the warmest months, while May and June are the sunniest. September and October often have a lot of precipitation.
