The official language of Cuba is Spanish. Africanisms occur in the Cuban colloquial language and give it its own character and sound colour.
The Spanish Cuban people speak is similar to most other countries in Latin America. But the Creole dialect has colored Cuban Spanish by making use of colloquial expressions Other languages spoken in the country include Haitian Creole, and Lucimi.
