A must-see for nature lovers is the Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve. This park protects one of the last untouched ecosystems, as well as a number of endangered animal and plant species. Visitors can hike, fish and raft here. There are expeditions and tours through the tropical rainforests. You will see exotic birds, monkeys, jaguars, crocodiles and iguanas. In addition, the park houses a large number of archaeological sites, such as Mayan ruins.

Roatán is one of the islands in the Bay of Honduras in the Caribbean Sea. It is a popular port of call for cruise ships and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Honduras due to its beautiful scenery and variety of activities. Roatan offers opportunities for diving, snorkelling and swimming. In addition to its beautiful beaches and coral reefs, the island also boasts other attractions, such as the Iguana Farm, the Caramola Gardens and the Butterfly Garden.
