Population

The population of the Greek part of Cyprus in 2024 was 1,320,525, of which 98% were Greek Cypriots and some Turkish Cypriots, Armenians and Maronites, partly refugees from Lebanon. 70% of the population lives in the cities. The capital Nicosia is the largest city in Cyprus with 269,000 inhabitants (2024). Other major cities are Limasso, Larnaka, and Paphos.
