In Koror, the average day temperature is about 30°C and the average night temperature is about 24°C. The humidity is on average 80% and the average rainfall is almost 3800 mm per year. February and March are the driest months, when only 200 mm per month fall.
June to August are the wettest months, with an average of 380 mm of precipitation per month. June is characterised by many thunderstorms. Although Palau is outside the typhoon belt, the islands are occasionally hit by a typhoon. However, most typhoons originate in this area and then move towards Guam and the Philippines.
