According to the Guiness Book of Records, Saipan has the most even temperature in the world; it is around 27°C practically all year round. The Marianas are the sunniest islands in all of Micronesia. The rainy season on the Northern Mariana Islands lasts from July to October, when rainfall averages about 300 mm per month. The dry season from December to May averages about 100 mm per month.
Like Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands are in the typhoon zone, most frequently in August and September. On average, the Mariana Islands are hit by a typhoon once a year.
