Nauru has a tropical climate, hot and humid, but the weather is tempered by the sea winds. North-easterly trade winds blow from March to October and westerly winds bring more rain from November to February. The average annual rainfall is just over 2,000 mm, but can vary greatly from year to year. The average annual temperature is 24.4°C.
