Vacations and Sightseeing
Malabo is the capital of Equatorial Guinea and has some Spanish buildings left over from the colonial days. The presidential palace is huge, but actually out of proportion. There is a small biodiversity centre in Moka which is worth a visit. If you want to hike, you can do so on the Pico Malabo volcano.
Bata is the largest city in the country. Bata is a port city with some good hotels, a popular market and good nightclubs.
The Monte Alen National Park is a protected wildlife park where visitors can enjoy tropical forests with gorillas, chimpanzees, leopards, elephants, crocodiles and many other types of animals.
One of the best attractions is a visit to a local market. The beaches are also beautiful. Luba and Mbini are the more remote beaches.
