Zinder is the second largest city in Niger and is a well-known tourist destination in the country. The main attractions are: The Sultan's Palace is an impressive building in the city. The building is made with a mixture of mud, brick and wood. The interior of the building has several beautifully decorated staircases leading to different rooms. The door of the palace is beautifully decorated.
The Grand Mosque is very beautiful and has a high minaret. From the top of the minaret you have a beautiful view of the city. Prayer services are held in the mosque. The walls of the mosque are decorated with calligraphy and engravings.
Birnin district is located in the south-eastern part of the city. The buildings are fine examples of traditional Hausa architecture. There is also an old fort in the area.
Agadez is a fascinating city in Niger. The Great Mosque of Agadez is made entirely of clay. It has a 30-metre high minaret decorated with wooden sticks. The mosque is a centre of Islamic studies. The palace of the sultan is right next to the mosque. Agadez s included in the world heritage list in 2013.
