The population of Ghana is 34.6 million (2024). The population density is about 155 inhabitants per square kilometre.

The population of Ghana is 98.5% black Africans. the main tribes are: Akan 45.7%, Moshi-Dagomba 18.5%, Ewe 12.8%, Ga 7.1%, Gurma 6.4%. Europeans and others make up 1.5% of the population.
Language
English is the official language of Ghana. Furthermore, Akan, Moshi-Dagomba, Ewe and Ga are widely spoken, as well as several other indigenous languages.
Religion
The north of Ghana is Muslim (16%) and the south is Christian (63%). There are also followers of indigenous religions (9%) and 6% follow another religion.
